The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® continues the brand’s effort to integrate performance-focused technology with long-distance touring design. This model introduces refined mechanical components, reworked ergonomics, and a fully updated infotainment system. The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® targets experienced riders who require consistent output, mechanical reliability, and functional equipment. Its structure supports extended riding while maintaining a high degree of system control through its engine, suspension, and rider interface.

Engine Efficiency Through Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121

At the center of the 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® is the Milwaukee-Eight® VVT 121 powertrain. This engine has a 121 cubic inch displacement and is equipped with variable valve timing. The integration of VVT supports torque distribution across a wide range of engine speeds. The system operates on an 11.4:1 compression ratio and uses Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection. The overall engine output reaches 115 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque, available at 3,000 RPM. The exhaust routing is configured in a 2-1-2 layout, designed to manage thermal output and reduce restriction.

Suspension Systems With Rider-Adjustable Components

The front suspension uses 47 mm SHOWA® inverted forks. These components provide increased stiffness and contribute to front-end stability during cornering and braking. The rear setup includes dual adjustable emulsion shocks that allow quick preload tuning to accommodate varying cargo or passenger loads.

The braking configuration uses dual radially mounted four-piston front calipers. Each caliper acts on large-diameter discs, providing consistent stopping force. A single four-piston caliper is positioned at the rear. The braking system integrates with standard ABS technology, enabling better control under sudden deceleration or in variable traction conditions.

Aerodynamic Refinement With Updated Fairing Design

The model uses a redesigned batwing fairing that was tested under wind tunnel conditions. Its primary function is to reduce wind buffeting experienced at higher speeds. The fairing also supports integrated LED lighting systems, including a full-width headlamp with a segmented light bar for increased visibility. The fairing's structure is optimized to maintain airflow separation from the rider's helmet, which contributes to reduced turbulence.

Ergonomically, the seat is shaped to maintain a neutral spinal alignment for the rider. The seat height is set at 26.7 inches when laden, providing a grounded feel at stops without sacrificing cornering clearance.

Infotainment With Skyline™ OS and Audio Integration

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® introduces the Skyline™ operating system, which is displayed through a 12.3-inch TFT screen. This single-unit digital interface replaces traditional analog gauges and offers real-time readouts for speed, RPM, trip data, and ride modes. It supports Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling wireless software updates.

The infotainment setup includes an integrated Rockford Fosgate® Stage II audio system. This setup includes upgraded speakers within the fairing and saddlebags, paired with an internal amplifier. The system supports both standard media playback and navigation instructions. It also adjusts volume automatically based on road speed.

Lighting and Visibility Enhancements

The front lighting system features adaptive LEDs. These lights adjust beam direction based on lean angle, allowing more precise road illumination during cornering. The taillight is flush-mounted into the rear fender and functions as both a brake light and turn indicator. Side indicators are integrated into the rearview mirrors, maintaining a cleaner profile.

Lighting visibility is an essential part of the motorcycle's highway operation, and all exterior lights meet current SAE photometric standards.

Structural Design and Material Application

Lightweight cast wheels replace traditional spoke designs, reducing unsprung mass and improving handling response. The front wheel measures 19 inches, while the rear measures 18 inches, both optimized for tubeless touring tires.

Storage is managed by two rigid saddlebags, color-matched to the body. Each saddlebag uses a one-touch latch system and is weather-sealed. Combined, the saddlebags offer a total of 2.2 cubic feet of cargo space.

The paint scheme is unique to the CVO™ family, applied using a multi-layer process that includes hand-applied graphic elements. Finishes are available in colorways that do not appear in the standard Harley-Davidson® Street Glide® lineup. Chrome accents are limited, with most parts treated in a low-gloss or satin finish to minimize glare and visual fatigue during long rides.

Control Features and Rider Assistance

The motorcycle includes several control assistance features such as cornering-enhanced electronic linked braking, cornering-enhanced traction control, and drag torque slip control. Each of these systems adjusts in real-time based on sensor feedback.

Three selectable ride modes are built into the system. Each alters throttle response, engine braking, traction control intervention, and suspension behavior. An additional custom mode allows riders to tailor settings to specific preferences.

The bike also features a tire pressure monitoring system, monitored through the TFT screen. It provides alerts in case of rapid air loss or underinflation.

Fuel Capacity and Range Considerations

The 2025 Harley-Davidson® CVO™ Street Glide® carries a six-gallon fuel tank. Combined with its efficient combustion system and torque-focused engine calibration, the motorcycle achieves a combined average fuel economy of approximately 45 miles per gallon under standard test conditions. This allows for an expected range of over 250 miles per tank, making it appropriate for extended touring without frequent refueling.

The oil capacity of five quarts supports better heat dissipation and consistent lubrication over long intervals.
