2022 Harley-Davidson® Nightster™ vs 2022 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S Overview

Both the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Nightster™ and 2022 Sportster® S are both from the H-D® Sport category. They're bikes you can bend to your will and perform daring maneuvers with in all types of terrains. You can also sprint to your off-ramp destination because of the powerful engines that propel both bikes to greatness. There are some distinct differences between these two bikes that Falcon's Fury Harley-Davidson® buyers need to be aware of, though.

Performance

The 2022 Harley-Davidson® Nightster™ vs 2022 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S are more evenly matched on performance than you'd think, but the Sportster® S is meant for those who want a little more torque behind their launch. The Sportster®'s Revolution Max 1250T powertrain is rated at 94 lb-ft of torque and 121 horsepower, compared to 70 lb-ft of torque for the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Nightster™ S. Depending on your ambitions for your sport bike, the Nightster™ makes for a more efficient, highly controllable bike, but if you crave that powerful kickstart off the curb, then juice up with the Sportster® S.

Moves

The 2022 Nightster™ has a very special design with its powertrain positioned to give it a lighter ride style. It comes in at 481 pounds in running order, compared to 502 pounds for the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S. This plays a big part in your performance on both bikes. While the Sportster® S might have a bit stronger engine, the Nightster™ is capable of much more nimble maneuvering in off-road situations. Either one are fantastic to take out for a day of play, but if weight matters to you, then the Nightster™'s moves might feel much lighter to some riders.

Design

The design of the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Nightster™ and 2022 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S are very much the same on the basics. They're both low-rider bikes with available rider safety enhancements (REFLEX Defensive Systems). There are some major differences between the two bikes that our buyers will want to really compare. For example, the 2022 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S comes with a stretched riding position. The Nightster™ has an upright riding position. If those two things matter to you, you'll definitely want to compare them during a test ride at Falcon's Fury Harley-Davidson®. The foot controls on both bikes are different, too, and include forward foot controls for the Sportster® and mid-mount controls on the Nighster.

Which Bike is Right for You

The 2022 Harley-Davidson® Nightster™ vs 2022 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® S is a natural matchup for bikers. These are easily two of the best sport bikes in the industry, and since they come from the same family, it's only fitting that they would have differences that make one preferable over the other for certain riders. Harley-Davidson® really wanted to make sure that people saw these two as distinct bikes with their own strengths. They've done a great job of distinguishing two motorcycles that both have a big time reputation to live up to on performance and style.

Falcon's Fury Harley-Davidson® recommends the Nightster™ for people who prefer a forward riding position with their low stance. If you're someone who really loves the stretched riding position, the Sportster® S is the better bike. You'll also see differences in the factory paints offered on both bikes. A Nightster™ comes in Redline Red, Vivid Black, or Gunship Gray. The Sportster® S is available in Mineral Green Metallic, White Sand Pearl, or Vivid Black. Only the Vivid black customizers will really be able to choose either bike. If you want to get factory paint on your next bike, color could actually make up your mind for you on these two sport bikes.
